A few words from Sally:

I have been a community governor at Delius since before the local authority school
opened (when I was a Bradford local authority resident) and am proud to have seen it grow -
literally and figuratively - into the continuously developing academy it is today. Prior to
moving to Yorkshire, I volunteered as a school governor and pupil mentor in Tower Hamlets
and more recently was briefly a governor at the Leeds primary school our daughter attended.

Much of my career has been in the financial services sector, in various roles at the
Bank of England and in the central European bank team of a rating agency in London and,
after I moved to Yorkshire, in the dealing room of a former building society, where I met my
husband. I am currently a prospect researcher at the University of Sheffield - working
remotely - helping to source philanthropic support for the University's genetic disease and
other research and for student scholarships.

A former Brownie, Guide and Ranger and Mum to a Young Leader, I am now a
Ranger leader in Bradford and run a Brownie unit as a lunchtime club at Delius' BD7
campus, where the pupils are powering through the Brownie programme.

I am an avid Leeds Rhinos fan but leave the trials and tribulations of Leeds Utd to my
husband - and am proud to say that I have watched more football at Valley Parade than
Elland Road!

A few words from Cathy:

I am the current-elected staff governor and I began working at Co-op Academy Delius 9 years ago as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SNTA) and am currently a Cover Supervisor.  My role takes me all around the academy to cover wherever class-based staff are not available.  This role has increased my knowledge of all pathways in the academy and my additional roles in the Care Team and Home Tuition Team also contribute to my insight into the many and varied aspects of academy life.

My background prior to Delius was working in Occupational Therapy in the National Health Service.  When I'm not working, my interests include watching rugby league, participating in wheelchair rugby and going to see live music and theatre.

A few words from Janine:

I have been a Sponsor Governor at Co-op Academy Delius since 2019 and am proud to be part of such a wonderful academy.  I have worked for the Co-op for 10 years, holding a number of roles but mostly focused around Project Management and delivery.

I live in Manchester with my partner and our cat, who very much rules the roost.  Outside of work & school, I love football (and follow Liverpool avidly) as well as walking and hiking.
