ASSISTANT CARETAKER
The Role
We are looking for an exceptional Assistant Caretaker to join us! Ideally, you will have previous experience of a caretaking/site role. This role manages all aspects of school facilities maintenance including, site security, cleaning, grounds maintenance, general caretaking duties, Health & Safety responsibilities, assisting with statutory compliance, responding to incidents and overseeing the cleaning contract at school level which would include the ordering of hygiene and other materials.
You’ll regularly engage with the Senior Leadership Team, and other key stakeholders to assist in the day-to-day running of the school. You will be dedicated to ensuring that a high standard of maintenance, caretaking, cleaning and Health & Safety is maintained within and around the school.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Assistant Caretaker will undertake a range of duties regarding the general upkeep of buildings, services and the surrounding environment ensuring the health, safety and security of the Academy. You will liaise with contractors to ensure the school site is fully maintained at all times. You will become part of an outstanding Business Support Staff team that play an integral part of our school.
This role is customer facing and therefore in line with the Immigration Act 2016; all applicants must be able to demonstrate fluency of the English Language to the level defined in the Job Description.
