Galaxies Pathway visits The Turner Prize

Recently pupils in our Galaxies Pathway visited the Turner Prize exhibition at Cartwright Hall!
Pupils spent time in 2 galleries and had bespoke workshops designed just for us in them:
A beautiful shiny room with sea sounds and bells by Zadie Xa. In this room we had a workshop around the sounds in the room and the movement of water through using material.
A room with work by Nnena Kalu, who won the 2025 Turner Prize! Nnena’s sculptures are vibrant with different materials wrapped together. We had our go at making a sculpture inspired by her work.
Nnena is the first person with a disability to win the Turner Prize, so it was extra special seeing what we can all achieve!
