We offer free after school clubs at both our BD3 and BD7 sites on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. These run until 4:15.

To make sure we offer clubs for a ranges of needs and interests we change our after school clubs termly. Some of our most well attended clubs include messy play club, music club and our active & swimming clubs. 

Sign up forms are posted on Class Dojo the term before the club begins for parents to register their interest in the club. Then a member of the team confirms your child's space via dojo. 

We run opportunities for enrichment during lunch times across both sites, for example a Brownies group, Forest School Club! We also host clubs for pupils who do not eat orally during lunch time, so they aren't sat in the hall. These include a Textures Club, where pupils explore music and sensory experiences, and Active Club in our soft play room, where pupils work on their physical development.

During the Easter and Summer Holiday’s we hold a Holiday Club for a week. These clubs are filled with lots of different sports and games to keep us active, as well as other play-based activities to keep pupils engaged and learning, even through the holidays! Our holiday clubs are free, and we aim to offer all families interested at least a day to make sure the holidays start off right! 

We also host Bradford Inclusive Disability Services's holiday scheme in our building over the summer holidays - so our pupils can still access our facilities in the holidays with their families. This service also provides a support network for a our families through the holidays.

The Delius Academy Council meet every half term to consider all aspects of school life that affect the pupils, staff and the learning that takes place. The council help take the views of pupils through a variety of means. They are helped by members of the teaching staff who support them in communication and actions.

The pupils on our Academy Council were elected by fellow pupils. Together the council communicate their ‘likes and dislikes’ at school, suggestions for areas such as outdoor play areas, their preferred meal choices at lunch time and even what they like or dislike about the School Improvement Plan.

The Academy Council begin by discussing the importance of democracy and respecting each other views beliefs and opinions. And how these are Fundamental British Values.

These are some of the identified actions that the Academy Council may consider in the next school year:

• Parent and child clubs - so parents can join in the fun too!
• Better improved play times
• More educational visits

Barkerend Rainbows and Brownies Unit, part of Girlguiding UK, is run as a lunchtime club for girls aged 5 to 7 (Rainbows) and 7 to 11 (Brownies) who are pupils at Co-op Academy Delius or Lapage Primary School. We follow the Rainbow and Brownie programmes, make our Rainbow or Brownie Promise, work towards badges and, most importantly, have lots of fun!

We run weekly Coffee mornings & afternoons at both of our sites! These are for families to attend, recieve support from others, and meet more of our school community. These coffee mornings are very well attended, no need to book, just arrive at our site and be greeted by our friends Parental Involvement Officer! 

If you're a parent of a child at Delius, you are welcome to attend either of our coffee mornings that suit you, no matter which site your child attends.

BD3 - Monday mornings from 9:30am – 11:30am

BD7 - Thursday afternoons from 13:15pm - 14:30pm

Want to hang out with other parents of children with similar needs to you? Need to do something to take care of your wellbeing? Come to one of our many parent groups that take place outside of school.

From visiting Bradford college and learning how to sew, to having a few games of badminton with some fabulous parents!

Our Literacy and Numeracy courses last the entire year, however this can vary depending on your individual progress. We are happy to work at your pace so that you feel 100% comfortable in taking the exams. The Literacy is Level 1 and Level 2. At the moment we have 15 people attending who are all at different levels. Free refreshments are available.
