Throughout May and June Co-op Academy Delius will be undergoing some incredible new additions to the academy offer and building. During the May half-term work will begin building an exciting outdoor science provision which will include pond dipping, mini-beast, bug hotel, sand and waterplay areas as well as a planting area for our children to access.

Inside the building at the same time the installation of an amazing new library and immersive room will begin. Our library has been designed to further promote the love of reading at Delius, previously the academy didn’t have a formal library due to requiring more classroom space. Reading and communication is a massive focus for our academy and a big part of our school improvement is looking at the development of reading and communication strategies for our different cohorts.

Our immersive room will be unique complete with both interactive floors and walls. Sound, vibration and scent aspects of the room will provide a complete immersive experience for all of our pupils regardless of their ability. This provision with provide a platform for teaching opportunities across all subject areas and give our children access to previously impossible experiences.
